Reduce cost of brine treatment in chloralkali plants with HYDROSAL-XC

Prior to the electrolysis, the brine needs purifying by means of chemical reagents. The consumption of chemicals is proportional to the content of impurities in the salt.

The HYDROSAL-XC process removes impurities prior to salt dissolution, which substantially reduces consumption of brine purification chemicals and the contaminated effluent discharge.

The HYDROSAL-XC industrial salt is of high quality and essentially free of impurities on the surface. The HYDROSAL-XC upgraded salt purity is typically in the 99.5 - 99.9% NaCl range, depending on raw salt quality. The loss of sodium chloride in the HYDROSAL-XC process is approx. 2 - 4%.
